Rolling Into Roanoke 2024

Join us for RIR 2024 as we celebrate the Crossroads of America - road trip, vacations, holidays and roadside attractions! Tribute-themed cars from every year will be there along with special attractions from auto museums and private collections. You wont want to miss it!

Registration
PRE-REGISTRATION for RIR 2024 opens April 1st, 2024

All cars are welcome!

$25 online pre-registration, per car

Event day registration for show cars:

$30.00 day of show downtown if space becomes available, per car

$10.00 day of show in the Roanoke Park, per car


Spectators

Spectator admission is FREE!

Spectator parking in designated areas is $5 per car. VIP parking is $10 per car. 

 

Awards

With so many eras, makes and models, Rolling Into Roanoke is not a judged/points event. However, there are 25 sponsor-chosen favorites, so literally every vehicle is eligible for a specialty award! Be sure to stay until 3:00 to see if you’re a winner.

RIR overnight camping in Roanoke Park (7/26 2024) and show day registration (7/27)

To welcome Crossroads of America theme campers, For the first time ever Rolling Into Roanoke will offer overnight camping in Roanoke Park on Friday night before the show on Saturday. This is for pre-registered campers only.

Vintage camper pre-registration to stay overnight (7/26) and for show day (7/27)

$25.00 pre-registration fee. Includes Friday night camping in Roanoke Park, your tow vehicle (whether it’s part of your exhibit or not), and day-of show entry. Tow vehicles may stay with your camper—if you’d rather not have it part of your exhibit there will be dedicated show day parking at nearby Roanoke Elementary School. Free shuttle service will be available.

When you pre-register you must submit a description and photo of your vintage camper (with vintage tow vehicle if applicable) to be accepted as part of the exhibit. A few will be selected in advance to be featured downtown on show day. If you agree to be downtown there will be strict move in times and location on Saturday morning.

Vintage camper overnight camping in Roanoke Park is only for Friday night, 7/26/2024. There is no additional camping costs—it’s covered in your pre-registration fee.

Vintage camper check in to camp in Roanoke Park 7/26

12:00 Noon – 10 PM: Arrive to check in to camp in Roanoke Park on Friday night 7/26. If later than 10 PM, call Rick Fischer at 260-341-3326.

Special parking for pre-registered vintage campers only will be available for campers that need larger areas to set up with awnings open, period- correct furniture, and/or outdoor equipment to display.

Vintage camper day-of registration 7/27

8:00 AM - 10:00 AM: $20.00 fee for day-of vintage camper registration, space will be limited in RIR campsite, if full, then vintage campers will be parked with the show cars. Fee includes tow vehicle, non-vintage tow vehicles will be parked at nearby Roanoke Elementary School. Free shuttle service will be available.

RIR Camping Friday night and day-of show parking entrance

Take W. Vine St. to Seminary St. Left at the first entrance off Seminary with parking in the grass next to the tennis courts. (Orange star on the map). Pre-registered vintage campers will receive an email with this and other instructions the week before the show.

Awards, goody bags, and door prizes

12:00 Noon: all vintage campers must register by noon at the registration booth on 1st and Main Streets to qualify for vintage camper awards and door prizes.

12:00 Noon: door prize drawings start at noon. Winners will be posted on boards at the information booth at 1st and Main and on Facebook and Instagram. Winners have until 3:00 PM to claim their prize. Door prizes not claimed by 3:00 PM will be saved for next year’s drawing.

3:00 PM: awards for vintage campers announced at 1st and Main Streets. Awards include: - Farthest traveled camper
- Oldest restored camper
- Most unique camper

- Closest to original camper

All pre-registered vintage campers will receive a goody bag with a commemorative pint glass; goody bags for day-of camper registrants will be available while supplies last.

8:00 AM: Show car parking begins downtown and day-of registration is open in the park.
10:00 AM: Rolling into Roanoke is officially open to the public!
3:00 PM: Awards and announcements at the downtown intersection of 1st St. and Main St. 3:00 PM: Door prizes must be claimed by this time or they will be saved for next year’s drawing.

No bon fires allowed.
No loud music allowed.
No sewer dumps anywhere.
No utilities hook ups anywhere.
No loud generators.
Restrooms will be open all night and day, showers will not be available.

Overnight security will be on site for your safety.

Most downtown shops will be open until 6 PM, most restaurants will be open until 11 PM.

10:00 AM:  Rolling into Roanoke is officially open to the public! Spectator parking is behind the baseball diamond, $5 per vehicle.

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM:  VIP spectator parking is open on Vine St. and Main St. for $10 per vehicle

12:00 Noon:  Registration for awards and door prizes is closed

12:00 Noon:  Stop for our National Anthem

12:30 PM:  Door prizes are pulled and listed at info booths downtown and in the park. Prizes must be claimed by 3:00 PM. 

12:30 - 2:00 PM:  Sponsors and Roanoke officials select their "Favorite of the Day" award winners

3:00 PM:  Awards and announcements at the downtown intersection of 1st St. and Main St.

3:00 PM:  Door prizes must be claimed by this time or they will be saved for next year's drawing

3:30 PM:  Event concludes. See you next year!

Show Rules

Our primary concern is the safety of people at the show, as well as the safety of the vehicles. Therefore:
 

  • DOGS: For the safety of our event attendees and their property, only service dogs with proper ID and small dogs in carriers are allowed.

  • Do NOT touch the cars. We caution everyone to also be careful with strollers and cameras.

  • ALL backpacks and large bags are subject to inspection.

  • NO skateboards or bicycles are allowed.

  • NO alcohol may be brought in by participants or spectators into downtown or in the Roanoke Park.

  • NO BURNOUTS into or out of the event or you will be subject to ticketing.

  • NO leaving your parking spot downtown if you are showing your car. For the safety of visitors, we cannot, under any circumstances, have cars trying to pull out into crowds on Main Sts. at any time, until after the show ends.

  • NO drones.

  • NO attendee parking in Roanoke neighborhoods blocking driveways or in clearly marked No Parking zones—cars in these zones will be towed. Attendee parking is provided in the Roanoke Park for just $5 per car. FREE shuttle services from the park are available. Parking proceeds benefit Roanoke Park and groups that volunteer to help with parking.

  • YES, enjoy the cars and the town. Local shops will be open!

  • YES, come back next year!
